Tuck Global Consultancy (TGC)
Tuck Global Consultancy, a second-year elective, offers hands-on project management and international consulting experience.
In this full credit, elective course, teams of second-year students carry out consulting projects for corporations, not-for-profits and governments operating outside the United States. Students define, scope and research their projects for four to six weeks at Tuck, then travel to their assigned countries for three weeks of full time, primary research and analysis. At the end of the in-country phase, teams deliver initial presentations of findings to their client's overseas-based senior management. After they return to the U.S., students complete full reports and make final recommendations to U.S- based management within four to six weeks.
As they learn more about consulting, students also gain experience in how to operate effectively in new environments and cultures- a prerequisite for success in a globalized economy.
Over 170 projects for 107 clients in 55 countries have helped Tuck students put their management skills and business expertise to the test.
